How we built TasteIQ.
Restaurant and hospitality operating system: billing, kitchen tickets, GST invoices, inventory and branded online ordering.
- Client
- TasteIQ
- Industry
- Restaurant and hospitality software
- Market
- Bengaluru, India
- Engagement
- Product build from zero, then ongoing development
- Platforms
- Web app that runs on phones, tablets and PCs the restaurant already owns. No special hardware.
The problem to solve.
Independent cafés, cloud kitchens, bakeries and small chains in India juggle a billing machine, a separate ordering website, aggregator commissions and stock kept in notebooks. Most POS systems need dedicated hardware and days of setup.
“14 days free. Live in 15 minutes.”The promise TasteIQ makes to its users
From brief to launch.
- 01
Discovery
Mapped how cafés, cloud kitchens and small chains bill, cook and order stock, and where existing POS tools slowed them down.
- 02
Design
Designed a counter-first billing flow that works on any phone, tablet or PC, plus a branded ordering site for every outlet.
- 03
Build
Shipped billing, kitchen tickets, GST invoices, inventory and multi-outlet reporting as one multi-tenant SaaS.
- 04
AI and growth
Added menu setup from photos so new outlets go live in minutes, then built the self-serve sign-up and trial.
